Garden Tours
*Due to COVID-19 related precautions, we are not currently offering public tours of the Garden. Roving Docents are on-site several afternoons each week and are happy to answer visitor questions. You can recognize them by their green apron and docent badge*
Learn the history of the Garden and stories of plants in the Garden’s collections by taking a docent-led tour. Tours are 60-90 minutes and involve walking.
Tours offered daily at 1:30pm and start from the Main Gate Kiosk.
No registration required. Tours are free with regular admission to the Garden.
Private Tours
Private tours are limited at this time. Please contact tours@sfbg.org for more information.

Groups of 8 or more may schedule a private tour.
Members: $8/person
General: $15/person
High School & University Groups: Free
Requests need to be made 3 weeks in advance.
Requests made with fewer than 3 weeks advance notice may not be fulfilled.
Interpretation Stations
Due to COVID-19 related precautions, Interpretation Stations are not active at this time.
Guests may also visit docent-led Interpretation Stations
Weekends from 11am-3pm.
Locations vary seasonally - check at the entrance for details.
