Summer Groups

Organized groups of children from community centers, day camps, and summer schools are welcome in the Botanical Garden free of charge.

Summer Camp Groups Invited for Drop-In Program!

This summer, our Bean Sprouts program welcomes all families and summer camp groups to drop by the Children's Garden during your visit to the Botanical Garden. While we are not scheduling formal activities in the Children's Garden this summer, we will have staff and volunteers there to greet you and introduce you to the space! Dig, water, pick, build, explore, and investigate in the Botanical Garden's "YES" space for kids! You are welcome to explore some of our Children's Garden activities here.

If you plan to visit the Botanical Garden in June, July or August, please complete this form to let us know of your plans and review expectations for Garden behavior with chaperones and children.

Redwood Scavenger Hunt – multilingual, preK-2

Colorful images help engage your students’ senses, with text in English, Spanish and Chinese. Print your own or request a booklet for each chaperone to borrow for your visit

             

Preschool Adventure Kits

These bags are stocked with all you need to engage a group of preschoolers in the Garden! Request the BUGS or BEES kit to pick up for your visit

Sketching in the Garden – Grades K-2, Grades 2-8

Introduction to using sketching to build observation skills in the Garden. Includes general guidance and simple rubrics for five observation activities.
