New Faces at SFBGS

Welcome to our new Director of Development, Rose Adams

Rose Adams

We are pleased to welcome Rose Adams as our new Director of Development.

Rose is an experienced development professional. As a regional Executive Director with three prominent national health charities: the American Diabetes Association (Bay Area); American Lung Association of Michigan; and Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (Cleveland), she served as the Chief Development Officer. She recruited leadership for their signature campaigns, cultivated, solicited and stewarded major gifts, developed strategic fund development and marketing plans and led and mentored staff and volunteer teams. Rose began her career with the United Way and served in leadership, fundraising and planning roles in Delaware, Maryland and Michigan. Rose has an MSW from Ohio State and did coursework toward a PhD in Health Policy. She has lived in the Bay Area since 2009 and loves to garden. Rose is inspired by our mission and sees the job, in her words, as "a unique opportunity to be a part of an important effort that will make a lasting difference in the conservation of our planet."

Please welcome Rose to the Botanical Garden!
