Learning and Community Engagement
San Francisco Botanical Garden offers opportunities for learners of all ages to discover and delight in the world of plants. From hands-on programs like Bean Sprouts Family Days in the Children’s Garden to adult botanical art workshops, the Learning and Community Engagement programs offered by San Francisco Botanical Garden Society build communities of support for the Garden and cultivate the bond between people and plants.
The Youth Education Program serves over 12,000 San Francisco school-aged children and their families every year. Learn more about the many offerings for pre-school and school-aged children, summer groups and families, teacher resources, as well as opportunities for interns and volunteers to learn more and get involved.

For twelve days in July the community is invited to seek out twelve pianos tucked within the Garden's 55 acres to sit down and play whatever they like as well as gather to enjoy other incredibly talented pianists and special programs. Learn more about Flower Piano .
