Is the Garden open?
Yes! Open daily at 7:30am, and last entry changing seasonally. Through September last entry is 6pm. For more details see out visit page.
What is the Garden doing to reopen safely?
Effective on June 15, 2021, the San Francisco Health Officer issued Health Order C19-07y -- Safer Return Together.
Do I need to buy tickets in advance? What if I am a member? Or a resident?
Advanced tickets are highly recommended for all Garden visitors including members as well as residents. There will be expedited entry for members and advanced ticket holders on weekends and holidays. Onsite ticket purchases are also available.
Are face coverings required for visitors?
Masks are required to enter the Library and Garden Bookstore
Can I picnic?
Yes! Picnics are welcomed on lawns areas such as the Great Meadow, Conifer Lawn, and Garden of Fragrance.
Are Restrooms open? Drinking fountains? Waste receptacles?
Yes, all are open and available for visitors.
Are the Library, Bookstore, Children's Garden, and Plant Arbor open?
The Bookstore and Plant Arbor now open daily, 10am-4pm
The Children's Garden is open daily with the same hours as the rest of the Garden
Helen Crocker Russel Library of Horticulture is now open Friday and Saturday
