Bring the Garden HomeWe propagate and sell a multitude of different kinds of plants, many exclusive to the Garden's Nursery and all suitable for growing in the Bay Area. For over 30 years, we've held popular Monthly Plant Sales and we are now pleased to offer plants for sale daily at The Arbor. Aided by enthusiastic and knowledgeable volunteers, gardeners will find premium plants and delight in finding a few rare and unusual gems along the way!
The ArborPlants are now for sale every day of the week in an open-air arbor next to the Garden Bookstore on the Main Gate esplanade. Visitors can browse and purchase plants daily (weather permitting) with volunteers on hand to offer advice. The Arbor's hours will coincide with those of the Garden Bookstore, from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. Monthly Plant SalesOur monthly plant sales are a unique opportunity to acquire plants seldom found in commercial nurseries or garden centers. All plants are propagated from the Garden's own collections by volunteers. Monthly Plant Sales are held at the Nursery and the Arbor on Saturdays from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, unless otherwise noted. Our Nursery is located in the southwest corner of the Garden, a five minute walk from the Main Gate at Ninth Avenue at Lincoln Way. A wide variety of plants are available at each sale. Many plant sales have specially featured plant selections as indicated below. 2012 Plant Sale Schedule

Simply present your admissions receipt at the Nursery Plant Sale checkout and the cost will be deducted from your plant purchase (equal to or greater than the admission paid). Please note: This offset is not available when you buy plants at the Garden Bookstore or in our new Arbor next to the Bookstore because it is not necessary to pay the admission fee to get to the plant sale area. |
