Magnolias and Magnolia Companion Plants Featured at March 9 Plant Sale
As we continue to celebrate our Magnificent Magnolias here in the Garden, we want to further help you create your own beautiful magnolia experience at home to simultaneously provide sanctuary for you and these beautiful plants.
At the March 9 sale we will have a limited quantity of some very special two-year-old Magnolia campbellii seedlings from a specimen with foot wide, nearly white, almost iridescent-pink flowers atop Heidelberg Hill behind the Garden of Fragrance (see pictures for proof!). We will also have two-year-old seedlings of Magnolia laevifolia 'Strybing Compact' (a new cultivar developed here at the Garden!). These are currently very small, young plants and will not flower for a number of years; truly, this is a rare opportunity for the patient gardener to add highly desirable and unique plants to a collection. More mature Magnolia loebneri x merrill and Magnolia stellata will be available as well.

Magnolia companion plants such as gorgeous Helleborus, Epimedium, and Rhododendron will also be featured to help you add variety and round out your own Magnificent Magnolia garden at home.
The plant sale takes place March 9, 10am–1pm at the Nursery. And don't forget that Members get 10% off their purchases. See you at the sale!
