Quarterly Members-Only Get-Together on Thursday, September 23rd
Mark your calendar: the next Quarterly Members' After-Hours Social of 2010 is scheduled for Thursday, September 23rd, from 6 to 8 PM. Arden Bucklin-Sporer, SFBGS Trustee and author of How to Grow a School Garden: A Complete Guide for Parents, will join us to talk about growing school gardens and to sign copies of her book. We'll offer some taste treats to hold everyone 'til dinner, wine and beer, and of course the good company of our fellows. Enter through the Main Gate; you'll find us gathering on the Library terrace.
Your RSVP is appreciated. Email membership@sfbotanicalgarden.org with the names and numbers of those attending, and we'll have a name tag waiting for you.
Last Buddy Club Show of the Season!
Families (especially the kids) laughed and marveled at our most recent performer "The Comedy Magician" Robert Strong. And our next performer, Award-Winning Magician Timothy James, is sure not to disappoint. At just $5 per adult or $10 per family it the Children's Show is the perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Make sure to bring a blanket and lunch to enjoy a post-show picnic!
And yes! Birthday parties are available by reservation after each Buddy Club performance. For your $50 deposit, you get the site setup and a delectable custom cake. Call (415) 661-1316, extension 456, for more information.
