September and October were Great Months for Group Volunteer Projects

Liftopia
Liftopia

Liftopia, a local company that puts together ski lift deals, brought 30 of their staff, skiers all, to work in the Mesoamerican Cloud Forest. SF Rec and Park Gardener Pat Quinn was beaming at the huge amount of clearing and weeding the Liftopia team accomplished. Rosie Coleridge)

Expedia

Volunteers from Expedia, the well-known travel website, beautified the Garden's 19th Avenue corner in September, weeding and mulching the flower beds under the direction of a Rec and Park Gardenter. The group of 15 made a huge difference sprucing up this very visible exterior view of the Garden.

PG&E

Another thank you to PG&E volunteers who have been volunteering regularly since last year's Annual Plant Sale. The latest crew did a fabulous job weeding in our Southeast Asian Cloud Forest with Rec and Park Gardener Janet Lopez.

With only 11 dedicated Gardeners and 55 acres to cover, help is always needed. Bring your community, corporate or service group to the Garden for a team volunteer project. Contact CLaughlin@sfbg.org to learn more.
