November 10th End-of-the-Season Sale at The Arbor

Cloud Forest Plants! Winter Bloomers! Unique Edibles! Never-ending CA Natives! What a way to end the season!

We did not personally win the World Series, but we sure are proud of the home team and look to end our Plant Sale season in a similarly celebratory fashion. Fall is in full swing with winter right around the corner and there is no better time to take home some of our most unique, world renowned cloud forest plants propagated exclusively from our collections. Winter blooming Montanoa and Roldana species will add lushness, blooms and wildlife forage to the winter garden. Roldana aschenborniana is a particularly suitable, compact Roldana variety for those with space restrictions but similar aspirations for their very own cloud forest. We hold our Passiflora collection in high regard and are happy to offer one of our most special plants, Passiflora parritae in a very limited quantity. Passiflora antioquiensis and P. exonesis will also be available in limited quantity.

Unique edibles that particularly thrive in our coastal environment will be available such as Angelica keiskei – Ashitaba, Smallanthus sonchifolius – Yacon, and Ribes divaricatum – coast black gooseberry (arguably the most delicious California native gooseberry!). A great selection of southern highbush blueberries that will flower and fruit in San Francisco will also be available.

If your aesthetic sensibility and nose guide you more than your stomach we are happy to offer some gorgeous Luculia spp. including a rare white variety. It is still a great time to plant our beloved California native plants. We have a healthy and large Romneya coulteri crop, numerous unique Dudleya species, and much more.
