October 13th Plant Sale Featuring Trees, Ferns & Rhododendrons

Fall planting season is here!

The weather is getting cooler, the days are getting shorter, and rain is on its way – there is no better time to plant trees, ferns and rhododendrons. We're very excited to offer some unique trees for sale on October 13 such as Metasequoia glyptostroboides (dawn redwood) and two beautiful California native conifers: Thuja plicata (western red cedar) and Calocedrus decurrens (incense cedar.)

Our featured "In Bloom" plant this month, Cyathea cooperi (Lacy Tree Fern), and many other special tree ferns will be available for your choosing alongside a wide variety of other ferns. Rhododendron experts will be on hand to help you select the proper rhodos for your garden amidst numerous cultivars and many vireyas.

"The best time to plant a tree is twenty years ago. The second best time is now."

The plant sale is from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm at the Nursery. And don't forget that Members get 10% off their purchases! We look forward to seeing you at the sale.
