March 10th Plant Sale includes Drought-Tolerant Plants

From a relatively dry winter to a fast-approaching spring, 2012 will be the year to add drought-tolerant plants to the garden. Luckily our nursery has always propagated numerous plants from California and other mediterranean climates where summer water is minimal. At the March 10 Plant Sale, we'll have plenty of drought-tolerant varieties as well as a large selection of succulents. We will have a good supply of Ceanothus and Arctostaphylos, proteas and their friends, along with landscape succulents available. Come and buy a few water-wise plants to add to your garden.

So far this is a dry year, so anything planted now will need some supplemental water this summer. This should not be a problem, as reservoirs are full and there are few water restrictions in place. By next year, these drought tolerant plants will be well-established.
