Treasure Trove of Used Books

Discover a treasure trove of used plant books

The Library now offers used books for sale on a variety of horticulture-related topics. Come and browse this ever-evolving selection of treasures.

How to Browse/Buy

  1. Sale books are located in the last aisle of the Library mezzanine. Since space is limited, we ask that you make an appointment or check with the librarian before browsing this section. Due to space considerations, we prefer to have just one person at a time in the used book area.
  2. Price labels are on the shelf edges with arrows pointing down toward the shelves of books so priced. Some books are individually priced. (All books are also pencil-priced on or near the front flyleaf.) Tax is included in the prices.
  3. If you look at a book and decide not to buy it, please put it back on the correct shelf.
  4. We accept cash, checks, or credit cards (the latter only for sales over $5). Select your books, bring them downstairs, and pay the librarian or receptionist. We can give you a recycled bag for your purchases.
