Magnolias, Camellias & Rhododendrons: Pencil Drawing with botanical artist Nina Antze

See why colored pencil techniques are ideal for capturing the fragile glories and unique colors of these winter blooms. Practice mixing and layering color and explore techniques including burnishing, layering, and impressed line. Live blooms from the Garden will be provided or feel free to bring in your own beauties. Weather permitting, class will lunch outside and experience nature first hand. A supply list will be provided. Bring your own lunch.

50 Shades of Green: Valentine’s Day Happy Hour & Plant Love Tour at the Garden

Sure, birds do it and so do bees, but plants do, too, and often in some very unusual ways! Join us for a special Valentine Happy Hour featuring a guided Garden tour full of steamy tales of pistils, stamens, and plant reproduction. Then co-create a special Valentine garden gift with your date or a friend as you enjoy beer, wine, and small bites under the fragrant blooming magnolias.
