Pick up a special FREE Cloud Forest Highlights Map at the visitor services kiosk to help you tour and identify the highlights of our collection. The map corresponds to yellow identification signs throughout the Garden.

FREE Docent Tours

Every Saturday, October 5–December 28, 2pm
Join us for weekly guided tours through the Mesoamerican Cloud Forest to enhance your next visit. Meet at the North Gate.
Free with Admission.

Interpretation Stations

Every Sunday, October 6–December 29, 1:30–3:30pm
Visit docent-staffed stations situated in the Mesoamerican Cloud Forest on Sundays to learn more about the Cloud Forest's special plants.

Walk in the Clouds: Inside the Mesoamerican Cloud Forest

Saturday, September 21, 2–3:30pm
Following the Aztec Dance demonstration, discover the secrets of the cloud forests in an informative tour with docent naturalist Dr. Joe Barbaccia. Wonder at the towering tree dahlias and tree fuchsias, learn how these rare plants came to San Francisco, and what is currently happening to these magical places in the wild.
$10 Members/$20.

Medicinal and Poisonous Plants of the Cloud Forest

Saturday, October 26; 1–3pm
Indigenous peoples used the forests as pharmacy, super market, and spiritual haven. Hear from Dr. Joe Barbaccia about the medicinal and poisonous plants of the cloud forest, and how they were used in the traditional medicines of Central and South America.
$15 Members/$20 General.
