![]() Dear Friends, Is it just my imagination or do gardeners really like to have fun? We have arranged for one fun evening amongst some fantastic gardens -- and just for you! Carmen Miranda will be there with appropriate Latin music, and all the garden designers in the Flower and Garden Show will be there. Sound like a volatile mix? Well, add in Dan McCall's scrumptious food, Grey Goose's cool martinis, and remember that incredible Cabernet from Emilio's Terrace last year? It's back. Plus, you'll see this year's garden designs when they're at their freshest and without straining to see through the crowds. For the first time this year the San Francisco Botanical Garden Society will be giving a "Green Gardening Award' for the most sustainable garden design. We're delighted to support the Flower and Garden Show in this way and make a conservation statement that we believe should be a part of all garden planning. So please join us at the historic Cow Palace on the evening of March 11. Have fun with your friends, stroll the creatively designed gardens, take away some ideas for your own garden and support the Society's conservation education programs. I know you will enjoy it, and, hey, when was the last time you ran into Carmen Miranda? Warm regards, Michael McKechnie Executive Director, San Francisco Botanical Garden Society |
