Youth Education

The Youth Education Program serves over 10,000 San Francisco school-aged children and their families every year. School groups enjoy perennial favorites like our Guided School Walks and Children's Garden programs, families participate in Story Time Walks or the Urbia Treasure Hunt, and everyone can learn from fun online resources that bring the Botanical Garden to life!

Garden Hours

Open daily at 9am / Closing time is seasonal.

Teaching Ecoliteracy

Learn how to use the schoolyard as a tool for integrated learning. San Francisco Unified School District teachers are invited to apply for the Ecoliteracy for All Summer Institute, a summer professional development opportunity for Kindergarten through second grade teachers, which includes two days at the San Francisco Botanical Garden Society.
