In 2000, Dr. Madulid and Ms. Agoo made a reciprocal visit to California to explore repatriation of data and voucher specimens held in US Herbaria. A large portion of the Philippine National Herbarium collections were destroyed during WW II, and some US herbaria hold significant specimens of Philippine plants. Here, Dr. Frank Almeda, senior curator at the California Academy of Sciences Herbarium, holds a Philippine fern voucher.
