The Philippine archipelago is one of the world’s richest areas of biodiversity. Unfortunately, the natural environment is being destroyed at an alarming rate. Logging, mining, the use of dynamite and cyanide on coral reefs, and enormous population pressures are having a devastating effect on the long-term survival of Philippine biodiversity.
