Cowboy Poetry Party

Put on your blue jeans and join your friends at the Botanical Garden for a Western evening of music, food and cowboy poetry – all outside in the Garden. Your evening will begin with Bluegrass music by Steep Ravine and a catered BBQ dinner. After dinner you'll stroll down to the California Native Garden's Stone Circle for dessert and cowboy poetry of the Old West, recited by the Botanical Garden Society's very own Board Chair Don Baldocchi. Don and his wife Julie may even teach you how to throw a lariat. Yee Haw!

Stockholm Apartment for a Week
MINIMUM BID: $900
Live like a local for one week in this one-bedroom apartment in trendy SoFo. The apartment has a nice kitchen that opens up to the courtyard with a private patio, the bedroom has a king size bed, and the living room overlooks the Nytorget Square. Step down to Gilda's for coffee in the morning, or Sardine for tapas in the evening, both outside the front door. Walk, catch a nearby bus, or go by Stockholm City Bike to the city center. The owner will provide you with a list of "the best of Stockholm" and customized recommendations according to your interests.

Bohemia Ecological Preserve

Julie and Will Parish will welcome you at this idyllic 1,000-acre nature preserve located near Occidental. Start your visit to Bohemia with a $200 gift certificate for dinner at the Union Hotel or order the Union Hotel's world-renowned turnovers for your morning breakfast and save the rest for the next time. Overnight in tented cottages and awake to a morning campfire with fresh pour coffee and local goodies in the Meadow. Hike with local naturalist, permaculturist and raconteur Brock Dolman to the Top of the World and take in the view of the redwood forest, the serpentinite, the Bohemian Grove's forests and the precious grassland. Visit the goats and the waterfall and learn about the feathered and the flowered (some endangered), cultural and natural history, and the Russian River Watershed. Back in the Meadow, relax over lunch catered by local chef Sarah Picolo of Fork Catering. On your way home, stop for foot massages at Osmosis Day Spa Sanctuary.
